Learning Colors With Paisley

My little Paisley is learning her colors. We have quite a bit of free time together. With Valentines Day coming up, we decided to combine the two on a rainy day this past week. This is so easy and the little ones love crafting. It's an easy way to get them to learn especially if they are stubborn!

Once we cut the heart out, since Paisley is a little over 2 years old. I did that part for her. I picked sets of buttons so she would have to say the color at least twice. I let her direct me as to where the glue would be dabbed and she supervised me as I did that. As far as I know, I did a good job. I would pick a button and ask her what color and if I got the right answer she was allowed to put the button on the glue dot.

Of course a reward was in order and we ate some goldfish! Overall it was a quick and easy project with hands on material. I am all about educating my grandbaby in fun and effective ways. She is going to be the smartest cookie!! :)

....so happy!

Moist Chocolate Cake Recipe

I am always in search of a moist and rich chocolate cake recipe. I have made plenty of cakes over the years. I was so happy when I finally made a chocolate cake that was both moist and rich, but best of all the texture and taste seems like it was all from scratch. I have made this recipe again and again. The kids love it and it really goes very quick! You'll definitely be their favorite with this one.

And what would a chocolate cake be without some good buttercream icing. Tadahhhhh...

All I can say is...yummy!
